The membership fee for 2012 is $ 75
Ten months of CE hours are provided per calendar year. We expect the 2012 program year to provide
20 hours of ACPE credit.

Objectives |
Pharmacogenomics At the conclusion of this knowledge based activity, pharmacists should be able to: * Define basic pharmacogenomic terms, concepts, and nomenclature * Describe genetic polymorphisms and their effects on pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics * Identify how pharmacogenomics testing can be applied to clinical pharmacy practice, using clopidrogel and warfarin as examples * Given a patient case, formulate an evidence-based recommendation using the results of pharmacogenomics testing * Discuss the role of pharmacogenomics in community pharmacy practice Hyperthyroidism At the conclusion of this knowledge based activity, pharmacists should be able to: * Describe the etiology and pathophysiology of hyperthyroidism * Identify symptoms associated with hyperthyroidism * Explain the use of non-pharmacologic, pharmacologic, and adjunctive treatment strategies in patients with hyperthyroidism * Given patient cases, formulate appropriate recommendations and counseling for patients with hyperthyroidism |

Registration
Reservations must be made no
later than 3 days prior to the event. If you register for the meeting and cannot attend,
please e-mail wcpha@hotmail.com 48 hours in advance so that someone else can attend in
your place (if limited seating) or we may make last minute changes for meals or
refreshments.
On-line Registration
Send an e-mail to wcpha@hotmail. You will not be registered until a confirmation
email stating that your registration is complete is sent from WCPhA.
CE Credit
To receive CE credit, attendance
must be acknowledged at the registration desk upon arrival at the program. Statements of
credit will be mailed to the participants within 4-9 weeks of the program (SEE NOTE
ABOVE). The total contact hours of credit for each program are indicated on the program
schedule above. Also, please check at registration that we have the last 4 digits of
your SS Number.
