including the use of advanced lipid testing in high-risk patients.

Explain the importance of lifestyle modifications in achieving lipid goals.

Review some of the clinical trials that have influenced the treatment of hyperlipidemia and coronary artery disease.
4.
Apply information from current guidelines and clinical trials to patient
cases, with emphasis on treating the complicated and high-risk patient.
5.
Discuss the use of alternative and herbal medications in patients
intolerant to prescription lipid-lowering medications.
